Depending on what they gave up, Seattle is having a very good off-season

Damn. This trade makes the Granderson blockbuster look like nothing. I heard about the rumor, but didn't think it had legs. Depending on who the two additional prospects are along with Aumont, I'm happy with the trade. Safeco is very pitcher-friendly, and we have an outstanding defense behind Lee. Seattle was also indecisive about whether Aumont would be a starter or reliever anyways.

They obviously wanted Hallday (that's a gimmie) 2. Cliff Lee refused to sign extension with them and is opting for FA unlike Halladay who will sign an extension with Phillies. 3. Cliff Lee also didn't want to give PHI a hometown discount and is looking towards CC Sabathiaesque type money or atleast close to it, (I guess 20 MIL A YEAR.)

I wouldn't be too down if Lee didn't re-sign. From what I heard, the prospects traded to get him were at positions of strength. Most likely, Lee will be a Type-A free agent, so a year of him and 2 draft picks is acceptable. 1-2 punch of Felix-Lee could get the M's pretty far. Lee's also not so injury prone.

The Mariners better resign Lee b/c they gave up Aumont. Mark my words. He WILL be a beast and actually had a chance to contribute in 2010. Now if they can just sign Bay the offseason will be a huge success.

looks like we got Kyle Drabek, outfielder Michael Taylor and catcher Travis d'Arnaud.
I dont no much about baseball but i hear Drabek has a chance to be a stud same with Taylor.

Drabek has a lot of talent. d'Arnaud is a very nice catching prospect, probably a top 10-15 catching prospect in the minors. Taylor is very nice, BUT, toronto just traded him away for Brett Wallace from the A's. Wallace is a likely above-average hitter, good power, but slow as molasses. He is playing 3B for now, but is probably a 1B or even DH longterm.

So Aumont is really going the the Phillies? I thought Toronto would've gotten him, since he's a Quebec native, the Jays fans love him.

Word in the New York/New Jersey area along with the non-signing of Lackey is putting alot of pressure on the Mets to sign Jason Bay.

AA did a solid job on this deal, we got 3 good prospects. Really sucks to see Roy leave, truly one of the best to ever don the Jays jersey. Wish him all the best in Philly and hopefully, maybe one day he can sign back in T.O to end his career!

sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=4754761I like it. Gives the M's a DH/LF that can hit for power. High risk/reward, but I'll take the chance. Silva was an overpaid, mediocre player that was rumored to want to fight Ichiro last year. As long as Bradley can be kept from blowing up, there isn't really a downside to this trade. Jack Z does it again?

Well, Don't really have anything to say about the Tigers. It's sad when the economy gets so bad here that we have to trade 2 out of our 4 best players for Prospects, Hopefully that Jackson kid become the next Grandy, and the pitchers for Arizona replace what Jackson brought. It sad though how bad Detroit sports have been, Its really unbelievable whats gone on in the past year.
Tigers-Blew the AL Central on last day of season, now rebuilding Lions-Stafford showed signs of being great but the D is horendous Wings-All of them are injured, Playing really bad. No cup this year Pistons-Hamilton, Prince, Gordon, Villenuva, and Bynum are all hurt and the main 3(Rip, BG, Prince) have been out most the season)
And don't even get me started on college sports.

Morrow for League, Chavez almost done pending physicals. Could be a steal for the Jays.
