Denver has some physical players, you might re think make fun of Birdman because he's really good. Everytime I see Gasol touch the balls he scores, yeah he's kind of soft but that is how he plays.

I watched Gasol for a while now, since the Euro league championships a couple of years ago when JR Holden made a big shot to help Russia win the Euro league Championships and saw games where he missed critical FT, missed clutch shots, did not step up big time, hell even in the Olympics, if it was not for Fernandez and Ricky Rubio, Spain might have been blown out by 60 in the finals instead of what 10-15 point loss they had. P.S: NOT RELATED TO TOPIC BUT THANKS CHA FOR THIS DEBATE IF IT WAS NOT FOR THAT I WOULD NOT REACH 1,000 POSTS SO THANKS FOR THAT.

haha no problem on the posts LA, but did you see tonight? Have a nice little Kobe/Gasol combo going, Odom plays well and the Lakers win. hell yeah I watched it, from the FIRST TIP TO THE LAST PLAY. now only if Gasol and Odom can do this CONSISTENTLY that's my problem with them, they are not aggressive enough they gotta do it night after night. ESPICIALLY LAMAR ODOM, P. Gasol might be the better OVERALL player, but in terms of SKILL SET, TALENT, ATHLETICISM, THERE IS NO REASON ON EARTH LAMAR ODOM SHOULD NOT BE POSTING UP NUMBER TWO OPTION NUMBERS EVERY NIGHT. He is SOOO talented to the point he can change a game just like Kobe and Gasol, he can make defense focus on him more then anybody on the team. just like PHIL JACKSON said we know Kobe can get his, and Gasol can get HIS AS WELL if AGGRESSIVE, but if Lamar Odom MAKES HIS FAIR SHARE OF BIG PLAYS then watch out the Lakers are PRACTICALLY UNSTOPPABLE. Odom is the BIGGEST X FACTOR in this series, Ariza played well and hopefully he does, but if anyone can control a game it's Lamar Odom there is no reason on earth why he should not play like this every night. And THIS IS WHY I think if I am Lamar Odom and make big plays in playoffs, LO should consider going to MEM. look at this team PG Rubio SG Mayo SF Gay PF Odom C Gasol 6th man Conley, but if he does not like it then goodbye and good riddance for MEM.

I'm not disagreeing about Odom, he's a hit or miss kind of guy...I think you don't understand what it's like to be a post player and not get the ball. Nothing Gasol can do if he doesn't get the ball, they ought run everything through him until the end and let Kobe take over, just my 2 cents. Every game they go to Gasol they win or it's real close.

you have to understand that the lakers run the triangle offense and a lot of the time the big man has popped to the freethrow line or is not in deep post position when he gets the ball.. its more of a passing big man offense
with that being said, gasol is one of the best big man passers, so he actually has to start passing first to make space before he can open up his inside game

Agree with that, plus Odom is just plain better than Bynum.

Agree with that, plus Odom is just plain better than Bynum. athletically yes but neither are MENTALLY strong. the one thing about sports overall is or any physical based activity that fatigues and drains you is that you gotta be MENTALLY STRONG no matter what the circumstance is.

I'm not a huge Odom fan either, I think he's a good player but his mental issues keep him from being a super star. I don't think Bynum is even starting C material, and I've said all a long only reason people make a big deal about him is because of Shaq.

Let's go Magic, I'd love to see them win. BTW there are reports Nelson could come back.

I honestly don't care anymore, these two, Detroit, Dallas, and San Antonio round out my 5 least favorite teams. To me this is the worst finals ever, I was really pulling for Houston and Cleveland all year, Denver had kind of grown on me, and I've made fun of Orlando all playoff long. In a way I want LA to win cause of Gasol and to make Houston look good, but on the other hand I hate Kobe and Fisher...they can't do it without Shaq! Not much better with Orlando, don't want Panic Master and Gayaloo to win...but it would help 23 look better. I kinda like Dwight and Lewis, but Gasol is my favorite on either team. I really don't care, I guess I'll decide who I am for during the series but I think LA will win in 6. Cleveland matched up VERY POORLY with Orlando, LA has some good bigger players (Ariza, Odom, Gasol, maybe even Kobe and/or Walton) to guard Turkaloo and Lewis. I think the key match up will be who wins between Odom (Gasol, whoever the 4 is) and Lewis...though one has to think The Zin Master will out coach the Panic Master.

OH YEAH SPEAKING OF THAT HEY SHAQ TELL ME HOW KB/SVG ASS TASTE. and kobe, fisher can't do it without shaq well they are about too, and so is SVG if Kobe does not win. either way it's a lose lose situation for the fallen hero AKA the big asstus because he is soon gonna be tasting some of his own after this finals is over regardless of whether it's from kobe or SVG regardless this is the worst thing your washed up idol could of hoped for. I also got LAL in 6, ORL will cause problems primarily because of Lewis, and I hope people get of Pietrus's dick cause if letting Lebron avg 38.5 is STOPPING HIM AND SLOWING HIM DOWN then he's got another thing coming with Kobe who if he did not have Gasol, Odom, or Ariza on the team to play team ball with would have a field day with Pietrus. KB made Pietrus his bitch in GSW and he's gonna do it again he is not even close to Artest or Battier who can actually cause hell for Kobe, heck even R. Brewer and D. Jones are bigger threats then this has been.
