Houston trades:
Andre Iguodala (86) Luther Head (75) Jordan Farmar (70) 2010 Houston first rounder
to the New York Knicks for:
Chauncey Billups (83) Chris Wilcox (80) Trent Plaisted (61)
New York gets:
A stud in Andre Iguodala. He will complete their front court and give them an athletic small forward that can score. They also get a good shooting guard in Luther Head and a young point guard that could be good in the future. They also receive a 2010 first rounder from Houston.
Houston gets:
The floor general in Chauncey Billups that they desperately need to be competitive. He will combine with Rip Hamilton to complete their backcourt. This gives them a very good backcourt and should solve their shooting/scoring woes in the last few games. They also receive Chris Wilcox who will solidify their frontcourt. He will combine with Al Jefferson to provide strength at both the power forward and center position. The Rockets have been missing productivity from the center position, and moving Al Jefferson to the cetner position will fix that.
Thoughts?

I think Houston won, but it wasn't a horrible deal for New York. Iggy is a tad overrated if you ask me, but does have potential. If Head was putting up any kind of #'s I would like this more for NY, but he's not. Farmar isn't bad but he, nor the difference between Iggy and Billups, nor Head, nor the 2010 1st hardly make up the difference between all that crap Wilcox. New York will get better next year due to this trade, and if he had his pick I would love it for him...too bad I have it For Houston he gets better now, adding 2 80's for the price of 1. Billups is still playing at a high level so it won't hurt him too bad, while Wilcox should go down a lot. Like I said Houston wins, but not bad for NYK.

Billups is playing extremely well for Denver, and i feel that a solid point guard is a very important thing for any team that plans to compete. I didnt have that, and now i do. wilcox is a very serviceable option at pf, and come on.....better than kwame..haha

although Billups is playing well in Denver
i thought NY is the clear winner in this trade to be honest, although Billups is playing great, they get a great talent in Head, a pick AND Igoudala? in my eyes this betters NY.

thats respectable, but a great talent? Head? He is only playing 15 mins per game, avg 5.3 pts, 1.9 rebs, and 0.7 asts. Hes listed on their depth chart as the 3rd shooting guard.....
