Its 2 guys most likely on the downsides of their careers for Melo. I dont see Rip or Chauncey gaining any ratings points in their future, only losing points. While Melo is still a young and growing. It doesn't really make sense for NYK. And why are you giving up Rose's expiring? You have to realize that his contract in it self is worth a ton. I know you have to balance out the salaries, but hes not the guy to use here. IMO, this is highway robbery on DET's part. He gets a young star (top 8 player in the game) and an expiring contract to boot.
I reject.

true, its mainly on the hope that i can trade rip or chauncey to get a good big. i gave up rose only bcuz det wouldnt take simmons and salaries wouldnt have worked otherwise. but i see okc's point...

Billups is getting a fresh new start in Denever and playing very well and Rip is starting to fit in now more with AI at his side, both still have at least 3 good years left and neither will go down. Everywhere I go I here that there getting older and declining but there stats are still as good as they were in 04 when they won the ship. It's two mid 80's for one high 80. Also obiously 2 guys are gonna put up better stats then one and look at NY team now, Billups-Ellis-Rip-Warrick-Kaman, with Nate Robinson off the bench.

I reject. Explanation: Rip and Chauncey for Melo and a bad contract...thats legit. But that 7 plus million expiring is GOLD! Rip in sim leagues is garbage IMO and vastly overrated and so is chauncey but to a lesser extent. I think if NYK were to add a worse contract that wasnt expiring then it would fair enough to accept but Detroit is getting a IRL/Sim MONSTER for two guys on their way out AND almost 8 million in cap space. No, reject

I'm pretty sure that if your salary chart is right, you don't have the cap space. And it doesn't work under the 125% rule.

Whoops, looked at it backwards. I gotta reject though, and the removance of Rose has nothing to do with it. NY should be rebuilding, not trading for 2 30+ year old guys that are declining. Carmelo is 24, and getting better. It's not a matter of stats as much of it is a matter of age.

IMO, he's better off with Kaman-Warrick-Anthony-Ellis-Robinson and be able to compete for longer than try and win with Billups and Rip for a couple of years.
