We'd like to offer Allen this deal
Offer: $8,500,000 for 5 years
Year 1 = 700,000 Year 2 = 1,200,000 [blue]Year 3 = 1,700,000[/blue] Year 4 = 2,200,000 Year 5 = 2,700,000
Total Salaries:
Year 1 =68,754,560 Year 2=38,934,380 Year 3 =24,336,260 Year 4 =2,700,000 Year 5 = 5,200,000
Tony is our 2nd priority (a guard) with Flip/JWill...he would be our back up PG/SG and would come to a title contender so he would have high chances to win another ring...we add a PO in the 3rd year so Allen feels comfortable with the deal...

Tony feels that he still has many years left in this league and would request more money up front from the Nets. At least 1 million in his first year.

We cant give 1M as we are almost over the cap so heres the max that we can give, we hope that Tony likes this one:
Offer: $9,500,000
Year 1 = 900,000 [blue]Year 2 = 1,400,000[/blue] [blue]Year 3 = 1,900,000[/blue] Year 4 = 2,400,000 [blue]Year 5 = 2,900,000[/blue]
Salaries:
Year 1 = $68,954,560 Year 2 = $39,134,380 Year 3 = $24,536,260 Year 4 = $2,900,000 Year 5 = $5,400,000
He has chances to be our 6th man (its between him and Bonzi) and he would come to a strong title contender....we cant give him 1M in the 1st year but its only 100,000 so I think that its fine...we add 3 POs in the deal in case that he wants to search for a different deal in the future

We would like to re-offer Allen with a 5 year deal worth $12,500,000
year 1: 1,500,000 year 2: 2,000,000 (Player Option) year 3: 2,500,000 (Player Option) year 4: 3,000,000 (Team Option) year 5: 3,500,000 (Player Option)
team salary 08/09: $ 69,029,831 09/10: $ 21,075,000 10/11: $ 12,873,000 11/12: $ 14,158,000 12/11: $ 3,500,000
We like to show Allen that we are still very interested in him. We apologize we couldn't negotiate a new contract during contract extension because we didn't know if we would have enough to re-sign Andris Biedrins and Allen. Now after all the cap space figured out we can offer Allen. Allen will be competing for the starting job at SG and be our back up PG. He will be the key player off the bench or on the starting line up to help us go deeper into the playoffs. We give Allen Player Options if he decides to leave anytime for more money.

We apologize for the length of wait on the contract negotiations but Tony would like to sign with Golden State.
