year 1: $1,000,000 year 2: $2,000,000
total: $3,000,000
total cap: 08/09 $75,913,951 09/10 $69,868,341
craig smith has been a good backup for our team and he is our #1 priority as he adds youth to this team and with the departure of ben wallace he would have more playing time and can live up to his potential this coming season and be able to help our team win a 3peat.

I am assuming you are using the MLE to re-sign him, since you are over the cap? Please designate that in the post.
Also, my client is pretty much leaning towards hitting free agency. He can get a lot more money on the market as hes a very good 6th or 7th man that can rebound the heck out of the ball. And he already has the 2 rings so its not about that for him anymore. He wants to get his name out there and produce big time for a team that could use him more.

yes we are using the MLE
year 1: 2,000,000 year 2: 3,000,000 year 3: 3,000,000
total cap: 08/09: $76,913,951 09/10: $72,868,341 (PO) 10/11: $26,087,500
We are really hoping for your client to be with our team and we are willing to raise the salary total for him as we intend for him to be one of our players in the future. The second year will be a player option if he decides to leave our team

Like I said, he wants to get his name out there and put up some good numbers with more playing time. He wants to go to a young team so that he can grow his game with others similar to him. With the way your roster shapes up, he will be buried on the bench.
Craig will be hitting free agency.
