I'll accept this. Nash is obviously great, but he's rated at 86. Number 3 pick is gonna be rated 77. Add to that 77 a 74 who is decent, a 72 with a pretty large expiring (basically) contract, and a young 71 who will expire but probably resign cheapish...I think that works out.
The 2 2nds make up for any of the "value" of Ely/Price in my opinion.
Accept.

I honestly dont like this trade at all for Phoenix. Yes he is getting young talent, but its Steve Nash. IMO, you can get a lot more for him. Phoenix is going to go from top 3 out west to maybe out of the playoffs with these last 2 moves. Not sure if hes going into rebuilding mode.....
Id like to hear what PHX is plan is before I vote. Please dont tell me you are trading for the sake of trading becasue you have been accused of that in other leagues.

he is getting alot younger with three picks (O.J Mayo could turn to be someone like Wade) and Houston's pick is 3rd or 4th so u never know if that can be a good guy...plus he is getting a good expiring, which gives him cap to resign Granger next year, also McCants is improving a lot...

my reason is simpple....my team needed a bench... lack of depth cost us this year... VC and Nash are both downgrading.... mccants is a great 6th man.... mayo is going to b a star.... honestly nash has maybe one good year left... then richardson will give me the cap to also resign granger and also have jamison with the king!!!

I don't like it. I think Nash can fetch much more than essentially alston and mayo. Yea the cap relief is great but id feel much better if he was getting cap relief now rather than taking on another 3 million. If you truly think about the best SIM LEAGUE PGs, Nash has to be top 3 if not #1. He does everything and is MVP candidate most years in most sim leagues.
Sorry, I reject

Mayo has the potential to be a superstar, and u never know if a 2nd rounder is going to be good...its though but not impossible...what if that hapens this year? Alston just got a ratings boost...McCants too and he has talent and potential...he could be a starter too...the thing is that its O.J Mayo...he could be someone like Wade or better, and he is young...Nash is my favorite player but everyone knows that he wont improve more and will start to decline.

Look in sim leagues i like to think of win next year and on never for this year. With all these rating boost and more to come with nash never going up again. Mayo wil be a 25 ppg scororer no doubt... This is the best trade ever for my future.

I really think that this trade is fair...both teams are getting what they want...He gets a great rookie that has the potential and will be a superstar, Alston and McCants who just had ratings boost and a great expiring in QRich...yeah he is trading Nash but EVERYONE knows that he has one or 2 more good years and, sadly for me a SUns fan, he will start decline as he is getting older and older...and as Phoenix said he wants to be a great team in the future and might want to rebuild, and he will have Mayo-Granger-Lebron-Jamison, so he will still be a playoff contender for sure while having cap free for the next years...I just don't see reasons enough to reject this one seriously...it's his GM type, he likes youth and this is a perfect deal for that type of GM.

I think if this DOESN'T pass then there is no way that the Cha/Det deal should pass. Just one more observation to put out there. PHX is moving a better player than Det, but both are basically moving a good player who makes a lot for some youth and most importantly, cap space. Difference is, here PHX actually gets a possible superstar in the future, where Detroit just gets maybe a 68 rated player who may not ever be more than a 6th man kind of player. Also this is cap for PHX starting next year, whereas the DET deal is for him getting cap this year...but it's still basically a "move good player for cap to sign other good player" kind of deal.
They're a little different but personally, the DET/CHA one looks worse than this one to me.

Um what do you expect, Detroit waits a few days before the draft and gets 13 M in cap space for someone who is on his bench. If DET"S doesn't go through he won't get D12 that simple, if this doesn't go through PHX could still resign Jamison (and D12 is a hell of a lot more important than Jamison.) Sorry for posting and not trying to really comment on this trade, but that last post by LAC is simply not true.

But if this doesnt go through he will have less chances to resign Granger when he expires, but the fact is that this trade has a lot of reasons, and the main reason might be that he likes youth and Mayo has the potential to be a great one like I said 100 times, and Nash has 1-2 good years left. for a team that wants to rebuild or not, this deal is fair, he will be a playoff contender for sure with Granger/LeBron/Mayo/Jamison and even Miller who is good in sims

Yea obviously this doesn't help PHX that much THIS year...it's a move for the future. Nash is definitely on the decline, and is in his mid 30's I believe (approaching "late" 30's?).
Mayo (or Rose) are going to be really good pieces to plug in and are considerably cheaper. It's very possible that by next year Mayo is an 81 and Nash is an 84.
Then that is almost already a wash, plus PHX gets cap for that year and beyond that he wouldn't have had with nash on the team.
I just like this deal. And Charlotte, make another thread man, stop breaking the rules.

Nash is 34, he is old already for the game, but that does not mean that he isnt good, but that means that he wont be that good in 2 years at the max like LAC said...
again I don't see why this trade is bad to reject....

Don't really like this for Phoenix. He's giving up his MVP and the best PG last season for a POTENTIAL star. Alston is a nice PG to have come off the bench and QRich's expiring is nice. Mccants is a good scorer but I don't see him doing anything else, he's a good scorer but doesn't have any other skills. I think he can get a more proven player if he was trading Nash. So basically, 4 70+ for 86 PG. I guess that's not too bad. I accept

Just one thing, Mayo will probably be rated 80+ after his rookie season, so its basically three 70s and one 80, which makes this trade even more fair...

It's not a given that he's gonna be an 80. Nothing is written in stone

The guy has the talent and potential to be rated like Gerald Wallace(85 or so) in a few years, that can happen, but it can not, same as Nash, he can still be good but he can decline next season, nobody knows really but what we have to take into account is the future, which is what this trade is all about for phoenix
but I cant complain right now

i think this trade is fair PHX gets depth for their bench( which he really needed) and some picks that might get him players with lots of potential like mayo. and NJ gets in return a great player that fills the void his team needed for a long time.
this trade leans a little bit more to NJ but overall is pretty fair
