I'm very excited about David being an All-Star...but partially upset also. This will just make his pricetag higher in the offseason lol.

CLE, PHX, talks Amare trade. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4910377IF THAT HAPPENS 1. I don't want to EVER HEAR about how LAL's trade with MEM was bad (in which they got Marc Gasol and INDIRECTLY Z. Randolph.) Because this trade is WORSE and D. Ferry and S. Kerr were teammates in SAS. 2. I don't want to EVER HEAR about how LBJ does not have a supporting cast. (Amare, Shaq, Big Z (comes back from buyout), Varajao, Mo Williams, D. West, D. Gibson, A. Parker, J. Moon.)

Marc Gasol wasn't supposed to be this good and if he can develop a little more offensively he actually might be better than his older brother. Crittenton gave them nothing and those players picked with the 1sts may or may not work out long term. Memphis is definitely a better team now than they were when they had Pau (cap wise and talent top to bottom wise). Let's put it this way. If that trade was proposed in this league it wouldn't have got ONE accept. 2. LBJ hasn't had nearly the supporting cast Kobe has had. Pau, Bynum, Artest, Odom, and Shaq to just name a few. Name one, just one player that LeBron has played with that are of the caliber of one of those players.

Name one, just one player that LeBron has played with that are of the caliber of one of those players. 1. I said IF CLE GETS AMARE, I don't want to listen about LBJ doesn't have a supporting cast, not if they don't get AMARE. THAT'S IF THEY GET AMARE. ALSO I am not gonna deny KB doesn't have a great supporting cast, I'LL GIVE YOU THAT Kobe Bryant DOES HAVE A GREAT SUPPORTING CAST. But stop pretending like LBJ never played with any good players in HIS LIFE. He had Big Z, Shaq, B. Wallace, L. Hughes (at his prime before the Cavs ruined him), M. Williams (he was 17 and 6 guy before he came to CLE), Varajao, A. Parker, D. Gibson. All of them aren't all-stars only M. Williams, Shaq, Big Z, and Big Ben are, but they are SOLID ROLE PLAYERS THAT FITS THE CAVS SYSTEM. With Amare, LBJ would have the best supporting cast in his career. 2. Yes the LAL trade was bad (I am not gonna deny that LAL got a great deal MEM got a raw but NEAT DEAL) but I am trying to compare it to this one and put that into retrospect with this one. That trade wouldn't NEARLY be as bad as this one. Because MEM still got something with M. Gasol and cap space. PHX in this situation would just buyout Big Z and will probably just get JJ Hickson in the trade. so it would effectively be Hickson and a draft pick for Amare. That's what I am getting at. That's IF THIS TRADE HAPPENS.

Hey LAL..
Most of the players that LBJ has played with have been beyond their prime.

You are taking Ben Big, Shaq and Larry Hughes out of context, obviously the guys that played with Lebron were not the game guys who won awards...maybe Hughes but we don't know for sure what happened to him but he sucks now. Mo Williams or Shaq (2008 not 1999 Shaq) is the best player Lebron has ever played with, and please don't say Z he is so overrated.

Haywood will probably blow up now..
Chance to get rebounds alongside Dirk.
Butler will continue to suck.
Now it's interesting what's going to happen with the Arenas scenario in Washington.

Arenas is gone. Once the suspension is over they will be looking into voiding his contract and officially rid themselves of him. Hopefully he'll go to a team (CLE, CHI, MIA, LAL) that already has established players so he will have to toe the line instead of being a leader.

Makes the Wizards look stupid for not selecting Rubio then.

Don't really see the point of the trade for the Wizards, isn't Butler younger than Howard? Biggest part of the deal is Haywood, if he can give the Mavs a presence that may help then...Butler is just another guy in the rotation.

I'd like to say ONE LAST THING ABOUT THE GASOL DEAL, ATL you say M. Gasol wasn't supposed to be this good, if that's the case then why did MEM specifically want Marc Gasol in the LAL-MEM trade.
While Pau Gasol played in Memphis, his little brother played High School Ball in Memphis, you don't think MEM scouts kept a tab on M. Gasol's high school career.
You don't think from that point on MEM kept a eye on Marc's career (in HS, and in Europe before he joined the NBA.)
Obviously M. Gasol isn't Pau, but I am sure MEM thought M. Gasol could become a very good player in the NBA.

International players are much riskier in terms of being able to fulfill potential. Also, Gasol was in Spain at the time and hadn't played a minute in the NBA. They took a risk and it paid off but there is no way they thought he'd be this far along this early on in his career.
