Wow, that was not really expected from Tennessee. Bad move IMO.
Cowboys trading for the Seahawks pick? I kinda wanted Phillip Merling or Devin Thomas.

I think it was a great move for tennesse. Chris Johnson is ridiculous fast, and is the perfect compliment to a bruiser like Lendale White

Anyone have any good inside info on the Bears 2nd round choice, Matt Forte? Ive read all the basic stuff on him, just wondering if anyone was a fan of Tulane and knows anything about him that the national analysts didnt know.

If they drafted Ray Rice i would know something about him though lol. I like the Ravens draft going with two Jersey guys lol. My Giants went the way everyone expected, with Kenny Phillips, but I'm happy with that. But i would rather them picked Dan Connor than the cornerback they picked in the second.

Can't say I'm happy with one of the moves Tim Ruskell made, trading the 'Hawks 2nd and 3rd to move up to the Ravens' 2nd. He must really like Carlson to have done that since there were some pretty good TE's at the Seahawks' original pick. I would've also rather have Devin Thomas or Merling rather than Jackson, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see when he pans out.

My 'boys had a good draft and it could turn into a great draft.
RB Felix Jones (perfect compliment to Barber and should produce at least 5 ypc as a rook) CB Mike Jenkins (great value and he can start on day one even if Pacman is cleared to play next year) TE Martellus Bennett (great size at 6'7" and will be a beast in the red zone in two tight end sets plus is already a good blocker and could develop into a pancake machine) RB Tashard Choice (more of a BPA pick than anything else, he is insurance in case something happens to Barber and could spell Barber and Jones) CB Orlando Scandrick (good at blocking kicks and has tremendous upside at corner, good potential pick) DE Erik Walden (another get to the quarterback 3-4 OLB, he could develop into a good pass rusher to spell or even lineup with Ware)
Overall I'll give the Cowboys a B- with the potential to change that to a A-. Passing up Mendenhall was not a good move even though the difference between him and Jones isn't great. Why they would pick Choice as insurance for Barber and pass up Mendenhall makes no sense. Jones still will contribute right away and will help our feeble return game along with Pacman. Jenkins was a steal that late in the draft. He has the best hands of any corner and is a physical corner that won't get pushed around. Even if Pacman is reinstated, Jenkins will have a big year. The rest of the picks didn't address any glaring need. Bennett could make our offense even more dynamic, especially in the red zone. The key is the future picks we picked up. A 3rd and a 4th already give the Cowboys 9 picks for next year and possibly enough ammo to go and get Roy Williams/Chad Johnson/Jason Taylor.

Overall im happy with the Giants draft. I think Kenny Phillips has the potential to be the next great Miami safety. Tyrell Thomas is a USC product, so he cant be terrible. Mario Manningham was a steal, even if he has some off the field issues. Andre Woodson at quarterback isnt too bad, but my boy Eli doesnt need any insurance ( i hope ) lol hopefully Jerry Reese hits the jackpot like he did last year, with Ahmad Bradshaw and Michael Johnson coming out of the 7th round in last years draft.
Atlanta, we'll still spank the cowboys. Tony Romo aint got nothin on Eli, and Felix Jones is going to be a bust.

Oh, really? The Giants beat the Cowboys the THIRD time they play them last year and you are cocky now b/c they beat better teams to win it all
Tony Romo is better than Eli Manning. It isn't even close. Manning played what, 3 or 4 good games and Romo has played well for 1.5 seasons with a few great games thrown in. Eli will never have a chance to be the best QB in his own division let alone the NFL. Romo already is the former. Also, Jones isn't the concern for the Giants. It is Jenkins and Pacman. Three shutdown corners severely limits what they can go on offense.

BUT GUESS WHAT, even THOUGH the Cowboys beat the Giants twice, THEY CHOKED IN THE GAME that actually MATTERED, so what if the Cowboys beat the Giants twice they choked in the playoffs like usual. LAST I CHECKED Eli has a Super Bowl, Romo does not, Romo also chokes in the clutch (aganist Seahawks and last year aganist Giants) Eli actually had multiple great COMEBACK games in his career. BTW Giants should worry about Pacman, I think the Cowboys should worry about how Pacman ends up in NY NightClubs RATHER then the field. And typical Jerry Jones going for a change of pace BACK-UP and his homeboy instead of Rashard Mendenhall WHO would have been a legit INSURANCE just in case Barber holds out for money or takes the one year tender and needs to get traded for Leon Washington or Jerious Norwood TYPE change of pace RB's.

Eli has one ring. Let's see him sniff the Super Bow,l no NFC Championship game, ever again. Hoping Toomer has another year left won't help Eli for the rest of his career.
As for Jones, apparently you didn't read what I posted...no wait...you did and then you copy and pasted it. Coming back at me with what I already agree with is senseless.
Oh, and just so we can clarify this once and for all. The Cowboys did "choke" but the Giants still had to dodge one last bullet at the end of that game. It took everything going wrong for the Cowboys for the Giants to eek out a win. What does that tell you about the Giants? Must be nice to be a fan of a team that lacks overall talent and can't play with the big boys unless they beat themselves.

Well...the best teams don't beat themselves. And how did the cowboys beat themselves? You can say that about every loss in every game. You can lose 35-3 in the NFL, and still say "We beat ourselves" Hate to tell you this, but Eli Manning outplayed Romo in the playoff game. Also, Romo hasnt even won a playoff game, thanks to his butterfingers against the seahawks and facing a better giants team. And, in the first game of the season, Osi, Jacobs and Manning got hurt. So "We Beat Ourselves" in that game. So, until Romo wins a super bowl, until romo ends a perfect season in the super bowl, let alone WIN A PLAYOFF GAME, Manning is the better quarterback.

But Manning wasn't winning those games, he was just not losing them. Managing games is important but when they face a good defense he can't win them the game. They have to rely on their D and other players. That is the point. Romo can put a team on his back whenever needed.
Plus, those last four games were by far the best Eli played all season and possibly his entire career.
Also, the "We Beat Ourselves" is accurate for that game. Crayton dropped a gimme pass that would have gone for at least 60 yards and put the 'boys deep into Giants territory. Hurd was WIDE open down the middle of the field and Romo couldn't get him the ball which is probably a first for him. Lastly, the Cowboys called the wrong play on the last play of the game. Owens should have ran to the corner of the end zone on a fade and it would've taken a huge play on defense to stop Owens from winning the game.
You can use that as an excuse b/c it WAS WHAT HAPPENED. The Giants weren't great defensively or offensively. They just held on after they got the win and prayed the Cowboys wouldn't pull off another come from behind win.
I'm not saying the Giants don't deserve the accolades that come with winning a Super Bowl. I'm saying the Giants didn't destroy the competition. They played barely good enough to win and held on as time ran out. There is a chance they won't even make the playoffs this year with the Redskins, Cowboys, and Eagles all getting better.

Romo can put a team on his back whenever needed. Except in the playoffs. Or any meaningful game for that matter. Plus, those last four games were by far the best Eli played all season and possibly his entire career. Which is exactly why he's a better quarterback lol

Romo did put them on his back for a late 4th quarter game winning drive but Garrett called the wrong play. You need a TD and have one last play and you run Glenn (who was no where near the same player) over the middle of the end zone in front of the safety. Again, better play call and the game is different. Cowboys win and Eli's run doesn't happen.
Whatever, the Cowboys are a better team this year and shouldn't have problems stopping teams from passing. Again, the Giants are going to have their hands full making the playoffs let alone another Super Bowl run. Enjoy their last Super Bowl.

No I didn't. Those were his best games of his career by far and all he did was not lose the game. He isn't some stud QB that will light up teams week in and week out. He needs a lot of help b/c he CAN'T win a game by himself. He won't play near that level again and he wasn't doing much anyway. He can be a good, solid QB. Nothing more. Romo has a chance to be an all-time great, Eli can't come close to being the second best QB in his family (Peyton, Archie, then Eli).
